Curly Dock (Rumex Crispus)

The mature plant is a reddish brown color, and produces a stalk that grows to about 1 m high. It has smooth leaves shooting off from a large basal rosette, with distinctive waved or curled edges.

Structure: Low-growing rosette with one or a few long stems

What To Look For: Lance-shaped leaves with puckered wavy edges; clusters of small green flowers near top of tall main stem

Growth Period: Most active when turf is dry and heat-stressed – blooms April through July
